    Kuwait continues to help vulnerable and needy people worldwide

    Kuwait provides support and aid to the vulnerable and needy in Kuwait and abroad pursuant to the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Kuwait Air Defense landed a plane carrying 40 tons of medical aid at Bucharest International Airport to alleviate the suffering and woes of Ukrainian refugees in Romania recently. Kuwait responded to international calls to send humanitarian and relief aid to Ukrainian refugees and internally displaced persons.

    Kuwait continues to help vulnerable and needy people worldwideKuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) distributed 6,500 boxes of dates during Ramadan to Yemeni displaced persons in Marib, Aden, and Lahj. The society also distributed 4,500 food baskets to Kuwaiti needy. The society also supported the poorest in Yemen, Comoros, Lebanon, Jordan, and Pakistan, Malwai, Ghana, Sudan, and Senegal. Kuwait Finance House supported the KRCS in organizing an Iftar for 1,000 Syrian refugee families in Jordan. Abdullah Al-Nuri Charity Society and UNHCR have signed a $400K support agreement for Syrian refugees in Jordan. A UNHCR representative in Kuwait, said this second deal aims to provide humanitarian aid in cash to more than 2,000 Syrian families.
