The United Nations Development Program in Iraq focuses on two projects, one of which provides employment, and the other concerns journalists. It also announces the deadline for the end of the stabilization program for internally displaced persons (IDPs), and indicates that it is supportive of the return of families from Al-Hol camp. The UNDP’s country programme document for Iraq (2020-2024) supports five interconnected, holistic, and comprehensive development tracks that are supported by a resilience-based strategy to meet the needs of the most vulnerable communities.

The program has one of the largest budgets at the UNDP in the world, as the budget for 2021 is more than $425.87 million from 50 funds-donors for more than 30 projects. The UNDP is committed to integrating women’s issues and concerns into all its projects, enforcing professional standards that respond to the Iraqi reality and this principle cannot be abandoned.
