    UNICEF, Syrian Health Minister discuss ways to secure medical equipment

    Syria’s Minister of Health, Hassan al-Ghabbash, met with the regional director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the Middle East and Northern Africa, Adel Khader, to discuss securing medical equipment for citizens. Al-Ghabbash stressed the importance of coordination regarding the priorities for the health sector and the challenges facing the ministry due to the unilateral economic measures and blockade imposed on Syria.

    UNICEF, Syrian Health Minister discuss ways to secure medical equipmentBy expressing his gratitude for UNICEF’s work in Syria, he called for more support in order to ensure the health and wellbeing of people in this country. Khader commented that the ministry had made considerable efforts at all levels and expressed readiness for more coordination and cooperation.
